Stylist Rental Policy
To better support the needs of the styling community, we’ve updated our policies to extend beyond our standard rental guidelines.
Pulls
What is a pull period?
A pull period allows an item to be tried for fittings without being rented. If an item is worn outside of a fitting during the two-day pull period, it will be converted to a rental and billed accordingly. Please refer to the Rental Policy section below for full details.
How long is the pull period?
Items may be pulled for up to two days, not including the pickup date. Once an item is kept beyond the pull period, it will be converted to a rental and billed accordingly.
How soon can I pull an item?
For Los Angeles-based stylists, items are available for same day pick up. Overnight shipping is also available at your expense.
What items are available to pull?
All items in our collection are available for stylist pulls.
Rentals
Timing:
How long can I rent an item for?
Items can be rented for as long as you'd like, and will be billed in 10-day increments.
Can I reserve a rental item for a future date?
Yes, you can reserve a rental item for up to 180 days in the future, on a first-come, first-served basis.
Pricing:
How much is a rental?
Rental fees vary by item. Rental prices are listed on each product page, and are billed in 10-day periods. If the item is returned in the same condition it was rented, you will only be charged the listed rental fee. If a rental item is returned in a different condition than when it was sent, additional charges may apply. For more information, please review the section below titled: “What happens if I damage a rented item?”
Do I have to pay both the pull and rental fees for the same item?
No, the pull fee will be applied to the rental fee for the item.
How do I pay?
We will collect a valid payment method to keep on file. This payment method will automatically be charged your pull, rental, and/or purchase.
Can I purchase a rental item?
Yes, most rental items are available for purchase. If you would like to purchase an item you are renting, simply let us know. We will charge the payment method on file, and the item will be yours to keep. Any pull and rental fees already paid will be applied toward the total purchase price. The purchase price for each item is listed on its product page.
Item Care:
How should I care for rented items?
Please be gentle with the items and do not wash, clean, or alter them in any way.
What happens if I damage a rented item?
All items are inspected before and after rentals and the condition is documented in photos and videos. In the event we find that a rental item is returned by you in a different condition than when it was sent, it is up to our discretion whether the item can be cleaned or is permanently damaged. If the item can be cleaned and restored to the condition it was in at the time it was sent by us a $50 cleaning fee will be deducted from your rental deposit and the remaining portion will be refunded to you. If the item is permanently damaged, your rental authorization hold amount will be charged and the item will be shipped back to you to keep. The term “permanently damaged” means and includes, but is not limited to, alterations to the item caused by rips, tears, scratches, marks, burns, stains, makeup, deodorant, self-tanner, ink, dirt, mold, mildew, food, liquids, and discoloration; a change in scent from liquids, oils, smoke, gases, vapors, fragrances; and/or any other change that prevents the rental item from being restored to the condition it was in at the time it was sent by us.
Returns:
How do I return a rental item?
You will receive an email with information on how to return your specific rented item. You must return the item with all the protective shipping materials that it arrived with. If you lose or discard any of the necessary shipping materials, please contact us at chloe@chloe-vintage.com or submit a request using the Contact Us page before you send back the item, and the materials will be replaced for $10. The $10 will be deducted from your rental deposit.
What happens if I don’t return a rental item by the end of the rental period?
The item must be returned on or before the end of your rental period. If the item is not returned by the end of your rental period for any reason, another 10-day rental period will begin.
If you are shipping, tracking information is generally not available until the shipping label is scanned by the post office/USPS location. This is what we go off of for return timing, so to ensure tracking information starts on time, drop it off at a post office/USPS location and get a receipt.
