What condition are items in?

Items are vintage so they may have wear due to their age and prior use. The condition is described and displayed with photos in each product listing. Items are cleaned and inspected before being sold or rented.

 

 

Rentals

What items are available to rent?

All bags and clothing items can be rented. Purchase options are available on each product listing.


What is the rental authorization hold that comes with every rental purchase?

The rental authorization hold is a hold on your payment method to ensure that the rental items are returned in the same condition they were sent by us. The authorization hold is just a hold and does not initially charge your payment method. If the rental item is returned in the same condition it was sent, the full authorization hold amount will be released from your payment method and you will not be charged for that amount. Please read the Q&A below, “What happens if I damage a rented item?” listing the terms and conditions for rental item(s) which are returned by you in a different condition than when they were sent by us.


What happens if I damage a rented item?

All items are inspected before and after rentals and the condition is documented in photos and videos. In the event we find that a rental item is returned by you in a different condition than when it was sent, it is up to our discretion whether the item can be cleaned or is permanently damaged. If the item can be cleaned and restored to the condition it was in at the time it was sent by us a $15 cleaning fee will be deducted from your rental deposit and the remaining portion will be refunded to you. If the item is permanently damaged, your rental authorization hold amount will be charged and the item will be shipped back to you to keep. The term “permanently damaged” means and includes, but is not limited to, alterations to the item caused by rips, tears, scratches, marks, burns, stains, makeup, deodorant, self-tanner, ink, dirt, mold, mildew, food, liquids, and discoloration; a change in scent from liquids, oils, smoke, gases, vapors, fragrances; and/or any other change that prevents the rental item from being restored to the condition it was in at the time it was sent by us.


Can I reserve a rental item for a future date?

Yes, you can reserve a rental item for up to 180 days in the future using the calendar tool on the product listing.

 

How long can I rent an item for?

Items can be rented for a 10-day period. 

 

When do rental periods begin and end?

The rental period is for the 10-days you selected on the individual product listing's calendar. You will also receive an email confirming your rental period once the order is placed.

 

What happens if I don’t return a rental item by the end of the rental period?

The tracking information for the return must start on or before the end of your rental period. Tracking information is not available until the shipping label is scanned by the post office/USPS location. Therefore, to ensure tracking information starts on time, drop it off at a post office/USPS location. If tracking information is not available by the end of your rental period for any reason, 10% of the item's rental price will be deducted from your rental deposit each day the item is not returned.

 

How should I care for rented items?

Please be gentle with the items and do not wash or clean them in any way. 

  

How do I return a rental item?

You will receive an email with information on how to return your specific rented item. You must return the item with all the protective shipping materials that it arrived with. If you lose or discard any of the necessary shipping materials, please contact us at info@chloe-vintage.com or submit a request using the Contact Us page before you send back the item, and the materials will be replaced for $10. The $10 will be deducted from your rental deposit.

How much is shipping?

Shipping is free on all orders!

 

Where do you ship?

We ship to all 50 states.

 

How fast is shipping?

Orders are processed within 7 business days of the purchase date. You will receive an email with the tracking number once your order has been shipped. Orders are shipped via USPS First Class Mail or USPS Priority Mail. Shipments generally arrive within 1-7 business days of the ship date depending on the shipping location. We are not responsible for shipping delays on behalf of USPS.

 

Can I change my delivery address?

No, shipping addresses cannot be changed once an order is placed. We are not responsible and do not issue refunds for orders with incorrect or invalid shipping addresses. If you entered in an invalid shipping address for a rental item and do not return it at the end of your rental period, you will be charged for the full purchase price of the item.

 

What if I did not receive my package?

Once we have verified that the package was received by USPS and tracking information is available, we are not responsible for shipments. This includes lost or stolen packages.

 

What if an item is missing from my order?

Please notify us within 24 hours of your order’s confirmed delivery at info@chloe-vintage.com or submit a request on the Contact Us page if you believe an item was left out. We will check our records to confirm if all items in your order were sent. We take pictures, videos, and record weights of every package. These weights are confirmed by USPS. If we find that we left out an item, we will send it out at no extra cost to you. If our records indicate that the item was sent out but is missing upon delivery, we are not responsible.

 

What is your return policy?

All purchased, non-rented items are final sale and cannot be returned. Rented items can be returned at any point before the end of the rental period, but you will still be charged for the full rental price.
